The purpose of this article is to explain the usefulness and functionality of the Demurrage Dashboard in Analytics.
Below you'll find some tips on how to use this dashboard:
The "Market Benchmark - Detention" dashboard looks like this:
- Objective: Compare your average detention time with that of all Wakeo customers to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Selection: Choose the POL (Loading Port) or the POD (Unloading Port).
- Global comparison: Compare your average detention time to the market.
- Comparison over time: Track the evolution of your detention time versus the market over time.
- List display: Select how to display the list: by port, by country or by region.
- Selection: Choose a country or region you wish to analyze. All other charts will be filtered according to your selection.
- Performance comparison: Countries/regions where your holding time is worse than the market are highlighted in yellow/orange/red. Differences are expressed in days.
- Comparison chart: Your detention time is highlighted in blue, the market in grey and your shipment volume in yellow. Volumes are expressed in number of containers.
How yo use this dashboard :
- To identify new ports to ship to in order to reduce detention time:
- Select a country or region from the list where you are underperforming the market.
- Look for ports where you have no shipping and a short holding time, e.g. Sendai in the case above. - To identify ports where you can improve your holding time:
- Select a country or region from the list where you are underperforming the market.
- Look for ports where you have shipments but where the market is performing better than you, for example, Tokyo in the case above.
Charts and lists : The list of countries/regions with their customer volumes and differences in holding time is followed by a comparative graph of average holding time per port.
